Membership Terms and Conditions

Effective and last updated: August 29, 2026

These terms govern membership in the Pasco, Hernando & Citrus Minority Chamber of Commerce (PHCMCC). PHCMCC is a Florida nonprofit corporation. Its federal 501(c)(6) tax-exempt application is pending.

Application and Approval

Submitting an application does not create membership or guarantee approval. PHCMCC may review eligibility, conduct, completeness, capacity and mission alignment; request clarification; approve a different plan; decline an application; or revoke an invitation before payment. Approved applicants receive authorized payment and activation instructions.

Term, Dues and Renewal

Membership is annual unless a written offer states otherwise. The applicable price, term, renewal method and material conditions must be shown before payment. PHCMCC may change published dues for a future renewal term, but will provide advance notice of the renewal date, renewal price and available cancellation method.

PHCMCC will not automatically apply a fixed annual percentage increase. An automatic renewal charge requires clear disclosure and the member’s express authorization. Members may cancel future renewal online or by emailing info@phcmcc.org. Cancellation stops future renewal and does not ordinarily create a refund for the current term.

Refunds and Cancellation

Membership dues are generally non-refundable after membership is activated because access, administration and benefits begin upon activation. This policy does not limit any right required by applicable law. PHCMCC may approve a documented exception in its discretion, including a duplicate charge, processing error or service not activated as represented. Sponsorship, event and other payments may have separate written terms.

Benefits and Opportunities

Benefits may vary by plan, eligibility, availability, capacity and program requirements. Membership does not guarantee contracts, grants, funding, certification, referrals, revenue, directory approval, speaking opportunities, invitations, partnerships or business growth. PHCMCC may update a benefit prospectively with reasonable notice when practical.

Directory and Communications

Directory publication requires separate consent and review. Members are responsible for accurate information and may withdraw directory permission. Marketing communications are optional. Essential security, payment, policy and membership notices remain enabled when necessary.

Conduct, Suspension and Expiration

Members must communicate professionally, provide accurate information, respect privacy and intellectual property, and avoid misrepresenting PHCMCC relationships. PHCMCC may restrict, suspend or terminate access for nonpayment, misuse, security risk, material misrepresentation, unlawful conduct or serious policy violations, subject to reasonable review when appropriate.

Confidentiality, Intellectual Property and Authorized Representation

Member-only materials, non-public opportunities, introductions, contact information, internal chamber resources, training materials, original templates, program designs and other restricted content may be shared only for the purpose for which access is provided. Members may not copy, republish, distribute, scrape, sell, mass-download or use restricted PHCMCC information to impersonate the Chamber, misrepresent a relationship, or independently act on PHCMCC’s behalf without written authorization.

Membership, sponsorship, volunteering, attendance, referrals, introductions or participation do not transfer ownership, governance authority, intellectual property, naming rights, operating authority or the right to bind PHCMCC or its affiliated project partners. No member may represent itself as an agent, employee or authorized representative of PHCMCC unless a separate written authorization expressly provides otherwise.

Member Responsibility and Limitation of Reliance

Members remain responsible for their own business decisions, submissions, representations, contracts, compliance, tax obligations, licensing, certifications, insurance and due diligence. PHCMCC may provide educational information, referrals and navigation support, but third-party opportunities, funding decisions, procurement awards, lender decisions, contracts and agency requirements remain controlled by the applicable third party.

No Professional Advice

PHCMCC information is educational and informational and is not legal, tax, accounting, financial, certification or procurement advice.
